Catering and Total Life Support.

GS’s range of services for Vinnell Arabia:

During the month of September 2015, GS awarded by the Ministry of Municipality & Urban Affairs (MMUP) of Qatar two plots (each for 4,000 workers) for the project of Integrated Workers Accommodation Community in Qatar.

GS will provide the engineering / design, procurement and construction of two four story buildings (G+3), equivalent to a 3-star hotel, for two plots, each plot can accommodate up to 4,000 workers. Each four story building will include one main kitchen, two dining halls, two indoor recreation / internet cafes, one medical facility, two prayer rooms, one mosque, one administration building, one central laundry-facility, three guard houses, one warehouse, two self laundry, two hand wash and ablution units at dining area, one Imam House, one ablution unit at Mosque area, one barbershop, minimarket and other shops, one control building and seven shaded shelters, four basketball courts, four volleyball courts, two football fields and one power plant.

Each structure will be built to last more than 25 years. GS will also be providing the catering and total life support services for each of the two plots of 4,000 workers as well as commissioning and subsequent management of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) phase for both “hard” and “soft” assets of the Qatar Workers Accommodation as per the proposed Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) Concession Agreement for a fixed period of 15 years subject to 3 years extension at the option of MMUP.
