- Our design of the Single Residential Facility (SRF) for the Integrated Workers Accommodati on Camp
(IWAC) meets the requirements of the Authority, design guidance of MME and complies with applicable Qatar Construction Specifications, Qatar Building Codes and other International codes for this type of facility.

Our Design with value engineering in mind reduces cost of construction, maintenance, cleaning & other operational costs hence would equate to lower rates beneficial to residents/client companies; whereas the very high requirements of the MME design in our opinion is overdesigned & entail higher cost of construction,maintenance, cleaning & related operational costs resulting in higher rates being charged.
Fast-track construction period to maximum 18 months which Is earlier than the 24 months contractual requirement of MME.
Project Description
GS will provide Engineering I design, procurement and construction of a four story building (G+3),
equivalent to a 3-star hotel, with a construction value of QAR 271 M for Integrated WorkersAccommodation Community (IWAC) in Umm Slal Mohamed Qatar for 4,000 workers, which includes: 1 main kitchen, 2 dining halls, 2 indoor recreation I internet cafes, 1 medical facility, 2 prayer rooms, 1 mosque, 1 administration bldg., 1 central laundry, 3 guard houses, 1 warehouse, 2 self laundry, 2 hand washed and ablution units at dining area, 1 Imam House, 1 ablution unit at Mosque area, 1 barbershop, minimarket and other shops, 1 control building and 7 shaded shelters, 4 basketball courts, 4 volleyball courts, 2 football fields and 1 power plant. The structure will last more than 25 years. The project also includes catering and total life support for 4,000 workers, commissioning and subsequent management of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) phase for both “hard” and “soft” assets of the Qatar Workers’ Accommodation, as per the proposed Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) Concession Agreement for a fixed period of 15 years subject to 3 years extension at the option of the Ministry of Municipality & Environment (MME).
